This visit is a logical continuation of the Protocol of Intentions on cooperation between the IIA PFD and WABCO, signing in November 2011 during the visit of business circles of the Privolgsky Federal District (PFD) to Austria, carried out under the auspices of the President’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Privolgsky Federal District.

The WABCO company is a world leader in the development and manufacture of safety and control systems for commercial vehicles (trucks, buses, trailers, construction and agricultural machinery). Alsoit deals with electronic transmission control system and suspension vehicles.
The visit began with a meeting of the Austrian delegation with the leadership of the IIA PFD.The Agency also organized the negotiations of WABCO with the management of JSC SPA ERKON, department leaders of the Plenipotentiary Representative Office, government and Chamber of Commerce representatives.

As a result of these meetings the readiness to develop joint projects in high technology areas such as electronics, automobiles, etc. was confirmed.

According to Pumpyansky, participation in the New Cities Foundation will make it possible for Skolkovo to share experience with colleagues on regular basis. This is a forum for communication of politicians, architects and business people – she said – not only the heads of the newly appeared cities participate in the summit, but also of big cities -mayors of Paris, London, Sao Paulo, Vancouver.

Big cities may benefit from the experience of smaller counterparts in the implementation of innovations; small cities may borrow some proven managerial decisions.

Companies and universities, members of the Fund, also contribute to the creation of innovative urban communications environment.

The New Cities Foundation was founded in 2011. It includes 50 cities, 30 universities and more than 100 companies.

Как следствие, особую актуальность приобретает наличие в регионе объектов социальной инфраструктуры – образовательных и медицинских центров, гостиниц, спортивных комплексов и т.д., предоставляющих  услуги в соответствии с международными стандартами качества.  Ознакомление руководителей иностранных компаний-инвесторов с возможностями социальной инфраструктуры Нижегородского региона является  основной целью проекта.

Основные темы в программе круглого стола:

- возможности получения медицинского обслуживания, соответствующего международным стандартам, в Нижегородском регионе;

- использование механизмов добровольного медицинского страхования;

- реализация принципа «одного окна» при получении медицинских справок для оформления разрешения на работу.

В качестве ведущих экспертов выступят представители Министерства инвестиционной политики НО, Законодательного собрания НО, руководители крупнейших специализированных медицинских центров  и страховых компаний Нижнего Новгорода.  Традиционно в мероприятии примут участие руководители крупнейших иностранных компаний региона, таких как Liebherr,  Danieli Volga, Onduline, Vesuvius Volga, Trosifol, Schott,  AGC,  Pasabahce, Knauf, Unilin, Intel, Collini, А.Raymond, Air Liquide, RusVinyl, Freudenberg Politex, A.S. The center has reportedly been opened under cooperation between the Kazan Federal Universiyt and Japan’s Institute of Physical and Chemical Research RIKEN.

The new lab complex will reportedly carry out research in the field of femtosecond spectroscopy, synthesis and analysis of thin-film systems and study of strong-correlated systems.

The center’s main goal is to train physicists. The opening ceremony was attended by Ryoji Noyori, the Nobel Prize laureate and and holder of status of the Honorable Doctor of Kazan University, the President of the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research RIKEN.

Ryoji Noyori believes cooperation will be fruitful. Rustam Minnikhanov, the president of the Republic of Tatarstan, said the lab opening was one of the brightest events in scientific life of Tatarstan.

Лабораторный комплекс центра будет вести разработки в области фемтосекундной спектроскопии, синтеза и анализа тонкоплёночных систем и изучения сильно-коррелированных систем.

Главная задача центра – подготовка специалистов физиков под руководством ведущих специалистов России и Японии. На церемонии открытия присутствовал лауреат Нобелевской премии по химии, профессор Рьодзи Нойори, которому в 2011 году также было присвоено звание «Почётного доктора Казанского университета».

Рьодзи Нойори, президент института физических и химических исследований RIKEN считает, что такое сотрудничество принесёт свои плоды. Рустам Минниханов, президент РТ, на встрече с господином Нойори назвал данное событие одним из самых ярких в научной жизни Татарстана.

Этот визит послужил логическим продолжением подписания в ноябре 2011 года Протокола о намерениях сотрудничества МИА ПФО и WABCO, которое состоялось в рамках визита деловых кругов Приволжского федерального округа (ПФО) в Австрию, осуществленного под эгидой Полномочного представителя президента в ПФО.

Компания WABCO является мировым лидером в разработке и производстве систем безопасности и контроля коммерческого транспорта (грузовые автомобили, автобусы, прицепы, а также строительная и сельскохозяйственная техника).  Также в компетенцию компании входят электронные системы управления трансмиссией и подвеской транспортных средств.

Визит, который  начался со встречи встреч австрийской делегации с руководством МИА ПФО. Также МИА выступило организатором переговоров представителей WABCO с дирекцией НПО «Эркон», руководителями подразделений Аппарата Полномочного представителя президента РФ в ПФО, представителями Правительства и Торгово-промышленной палаты Нижегородской области.

По итогам этих встреч была подтверждена готовность к развитию совместных высокотехнологичных проектов в таких областях, как электроника, автомобилестроение и др.

По словам Пумпянской, участие в Ассоциации новых городов позволит Сколково на регулярной основе обмениваться опытом с коллегами. «Это форум для общения политиков, архитекторов, людей бизнеса», – сказала она, – «в саммите участвуют не только главы недавно возникших городов, но и крупных мегаполисов – мэры Парижа, Лондона, Сан-Паулу, Ванкувера».

Большие города «могут использовать опыт менее крупных собратьев во внедрении инноваций», которые трудно начать в больших масштабах; малые – «заимствовать отработанные в мегаполисах управленческие решения».

According to the authors of the project, the new technology will be in demand in various fields – from food to construction. The patents for inventions have been already received: “Radiation burner” and method for parts manufacture made of materials with disordered structure and a mold for its implementation.
